License Testing

passed her test

We offer Motor Vehicle testing at our office, in our cars, in New Canaan. This is only available to students who have held a learner’s permit and are under 22 years of age. The DMV comes to the driving school to administer the road test for the driving test. This process can take anywhere from one to four hours. If you are successful, you still have to go to the Norwalk DMV to get your picture taken and receive your CT driver’s license. You have to wait 48 hours after your test date to do this. [Adults students have to go to the DMV to take their test. We also offer a package to bring you to the DMV. Please call the office for details on pricing and scheduling.]

Our tests are held every week (usually on Wednesday mornings). Sign up for testing is held at the driving school and should be done well in advance as there are a limited number of openings for each test date. You may register for test dates during the following hours:

Monday to Thursday: 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM
Friday: 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Saturday: 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM

The information needed for signing up is:

  • Completed application form (obtained at the office)
  • Student’s Social Security number
  • Permit and student
  • A parent and their driver’s license
  • Lewis fee of $125 for full course students and $150 for drug and alcohol students
