You have to be 16 years old to start classroom instruction. You do not need to have a permit, just proof of being 16. (passport or birth certificate accepted, no school ID)

No, you have to go to the DMV

You can start scheduling your driving hours when you have a permit and are registered for the program.

• For the full course: once you have completed 30 hours classroom, 8 hours behind the wheel (and at least 32 hours of behind the wheel home instruction), and have had your permit for at least 120 days, you are eligible to take your driver’s test.
• For 8 hour students: All 16 year olds looking to get a license in the State of Connecticut, they have to take a minimum of an 8 hour Drug and Alcohol Course. With this class, they must have their permit for 6 months before they are eligible to test for their license.

When you take the driver’s test at our office the whole process can take anywhere from one to two hours.

You can usually only attend 2 hours of class a day. You can attend up to 4 hours of class a day if school is not in session. This option is available on Saturdays, Sundays and when schools are on vacation.

No, we keep a schedule of all your class hours so you come in on a “drop-in” basis. You can start at any time in the cycle of classes. We also have a calendar showing class schedule which you can access on the website. You cannot repeat classes.

Yes, but it is also offered as a separate course (see Packages).

If you are under 18, you will need to attend the parent class. Both student and parent must attend the class together. This class is reflected as Lesson 1 on our calendar. Sign up in advance is needed.
